AN OVERVIEW
This case study delves into a comprehensive project centered around rejuvenating the nighttime appeal of Greenbelt Park and establishing a captivating connection between the park and the adjacent shopping mall. By implementing a carefully orchestrated mood lighting system, the objective was not only to enhance the park's after-dark ambiance but also to create a seamless transition that would attract visitors from the shopping mall, ultimately boosting foot traffic and engagement for both locations.
OUR OBJECTIVES
The project aimed to highlight the park's mature trees abd add depth and drama to the landscape through featuring lighting animations and effects. It also had to goal of enhancing visibility and guiding visitors through the park while contributing to the overall lighting scheme. Finally, it strived to illuminate walkways to ensure safe passage and encouraging exploration.
THE RESULTS
The successful implementation of tree lighting, bollards, and pathway lighting at Greenbelt Park showcases how strategic lighting design can breathe new life into urban recreational spaces. The lighting system underwent thorough testing and adjustments to ensure the desired lighting effects and visitor experience were achieved. By transforming the park into an inviting nocturnal oasis, the project achieved its primary goals of enhancing the nighttime ambiance, promoting safety, and extending the park's usability. This case study serves as inspiration for urban planners and park administrators aiming to create vibrant and inviting nighttime experiences in public parks and green spaces.
