AN OVERVIEW
In the heart of Manila, Philippines, there resides the Paraiso ng Batang Maynila, a park that locals and tourists alike cherish. With the hopes of igniting new life into the space, this was recently renovated to showcase its newest community-driven and transformational Lighting Project. Now, the park's beauty and allure was even more enhanced through the use of imaginative lighting solutions that was not only astonishing but also helped prioritized park-goers' safety.
OUR OBJECTIVES
This project aimed to revitalize a beloved urban oasis to bring children, senior citizens, and Filipinos alike in a shared space. Aside from enhancing the visual appeal of the park to invite in more people, this also had the goal of improving the safety and security of the area. This was to be achieved through an improved lighting throughout the vicinity, as it discourages disruptive behavior. Overall, the project seeks to create a welcoming and lively environment that promotes a sense of pride and community.
THE RESULTS
The successful redevelopment and lighting up Paraiso ng Batang Maynila helped park-goers to truly appreciate the environment. The people of the City of Manila now has a green space that they can share with one another to socialize, exercise, and just be one with nature together. Being only one of the national government's projects for the Adopt-A-Park program, this laid the foundations for future parks to maximize the use of innovation and technology to bring people together.
